Vivian Edwards: “The endless variety of seashells, their shapes, colors, and textures, will never cease to amaze me. These particular shells, brought up to the mountains as a gift from a dear friend, stirred memories of the coast, a place I haven’t visited in some time but hold close in heart and I would love to visit once again. When painting Sea Spray in acrylics, translucent paints were limited, so achieving that shimmering, ocean-kissed quality was a challenge. Today, with beautiful opalescent paints available, I would love to add that extra shimmer for anyone seeking a print of this piece, capturing the essence of the sea’s natural beauty.”
