Vivian Edwards: “This still life was originally set up as part of an art class I was teaching, using everyday items from my home and studio. A simple bedsheet served as the backdrop, while apples from the kitchen and eggs fresh off the shelf completed the scene. My favorite part to paint was the blue glass dish, with its unique light and color, and I also enjoyed working on the vintage McCormick's tin. What began as a lesson in composition and detail turned out to be a beloved painting—something that has connected with many viewers over the years.”
