Meet Jessica!
Stepping onto the farm for the very first time to meet Vivian Edwards was like stepping back into the best memories of my childhood. As I drove through the gracefully bloomed crape myrtle trees, a sense of peace washed over me—peace that only God’s creation can provide. This tranquility has stayed with me, influencing my work and perspective to this very day.
My artistic journey began early, thanks to my grandmother, who recognized my talent and provided me with art lessons as soon as she noticed my keen eye for beauty. From a young age, I was drawn to anything I could paint, build, or mold. The act of creating with my hands became not just a passion but a source of joy and fulfillment. It was many years before technology evolved into a tool that could enhance my artistic expression, but in middle school, I took a class that changed everything. It was a hand-drawn architecture course, and it opened my mind to endless possibilities. This moment was pivotal, igniting a drive within me to explore every facet of my creativity.
As I’ve grown, so has my art, evolving alongside the advancements in technology. My gift adapted to these changes, allowing me to expand my mind and utilize my talents in various ways and capacities. Today, I find myself in a unique position—equipped with a deep appreciation for the natural world, God’s handiwork, and the beauty that surrounds us, while also being fully engaged with the technological tools that allow us to share these gifts with others.
Every day as I work, I’m captivated by the beauty around me, constantly inspired by the world’s endless wonders. My artistic spirit finds peace in spaces where technology fades into the background, allowing creativity and the pursuit of beauty to take center stage. I strive to share this vision with the world, offering others the opportunity to see and appreciate the often-overlooked splendor of everyday life.
Today, I feel incredibly blessed to work alongside Vivian and Vonda as part of The Farmhouse Gallery team. Together, we bring to light the beauty that many miss in their daily lives, bridging the gap between the natural world and the technological age. With experience and knowledge rooted in both perspectives, I aim to continue sharing this unique blend of artistry, nature, and innovation with the world, offering a glimpse of the divine in the ordinary.
